| A tsunami was generated today from the earthquakes in the Kuril islands. However, the tsunami was predicted not to be damaging enough to cause any concern. As a result, there was no tsunami warning issued for Hawaii, although there were still tsunami-generated waves rolling in later. The peak waves were no more than a few inches, with water water receeding at about 4 feet in some coastal areas of the island. Waves of this height are of no concern since it is much too small to cause any damage. |
